The use of social media has become the way of communication of the 21st century. Especially with the pandemic conditions that entered our lives in 2020, the frequency of social media usage has increased all over the world. Especially for the 18-30 age group, which includes the youth years, the use of social media should be evaluated by considering different variables. This age group consists of individuals who were born in the 21st century and therefore were born into technology. Therefore, the use of technology, internet and social media for this age group is much different from other generations. For them, social media is a space for socializing, developing personality, comparing and evaluating themselves and others. These practices, which are designed to bring people closer to each other, have a negative impact on mental health, especially among young people.
