Venue: Bulgaria
Dates: Autumn-Winter of 2022

Political participation is an essential notion for a society's development, but we see that political participation is commonly low, and that young people, in particular, are passive citizens who only vote in elections and are uninterested in social and political life when we look around the world. Thanks to the advancement of technology, young people in Europe are becoming more individualistic and reclusive. According to Eurobarometer surveys, in addition to individualization, young people's faith in policy frameworks is a barrier to active citizenship and political involvement. What another study says is that the complexity of EU institutions' operational structures leads the gap between EU people and decision-making procedures to widen with time.

Political involvement platforms and city councils were formed in many parts of the world because the idea was to raise young people's political participation rates, civil society activities were enhanced, and young people were attempted to be engaged in political life through the use of media. However, the structure and functioning of the EU should be taught to the youth first in order to enhance active citizenship and political involvement among young people on the path to constructing a single European society. Throughout this context, our project will be built on an EU simulation, with the European Commission, the European Council, and the European Parliament operating as union organizations. The program will address migration, climate change, and health, which, according to Eurobarometer statistics, are the most debated concerns in Europe.
As a result, our goal is to expand the engagement of young people in decision-making processes and political mechanisms in member states.

Special Objectives:
1. To educate young people about the EU's structure and processes.
2. To inform young people about the EU decision-making process in order to encourage them to adopt this structure.
3. To increase young people's understanding of the necessity of participating in decision-making processes and political procedures.
4. To boost young people's motivation to participate actively in migration, climate change, and health.
