ICT skills, participation and self empowerment for youth with fewer opportunity: “JUMP” will serve as a space for creating new tech and creative opportunity
The project addresses two Erasmus+ Program priorities: inclusion and European citizenship. This project aims at promoting both greater autonomy and participation in social life for young people with fewer opportunity through mobility as well as improving skills and competences important for employability and active citizenship.
CSS works with young people with fewer opportunities that are at a disadvantage compared to their peers because they face social/economics/disability obstacles. In certain contexts, these situations prevent young people from having effective access to formal and non-formal education, transnational mobility and participation, active citizenship, empowerment and inclusion in society at large.
The proposed project seeks to carry out advanced technological activities throughout which youth participation and inclusion is encouraged. This project will serve as a space for creating new opportunity and tools for improve skills and inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities.
The project will involve 112 youth with fewer opportunities from 5 EU member states in youth exchanges and 40 youth workers in 24 months.
OBJECTIVES:
• Improve new technology and ICT skills of youth with fewer opportunities
• Promote active participation in social work of youth with fewer opportunities
• Foster autonomy and European awareness for youth with fewer opportunities
• Improve the quality of youth work for the operators through the exchange of good practices
• Increasing international dimension of social cooperation
