Intercultural exchange

This project gives youngsters from different countries the opportunity to learn about other cultures.

We have chosen for a broad theme: international exchange. The goal is to have attention for different aspects of cultures: music, food, sports, religion, habits, etc. The activities will give the youngsters the opportunity to get to know each other’s cultures.

There are different objectives: youngsters get out of their comfort-zone, youngsters learn about other cultures, youngsters learn about diversity, youngsters participate in multicultural society, etc.

Examples of activities: Cooking workshop, music quiz, sports activities, city game to interact with local people, etc.

The youngsters from Arktos are socially vulnerable youngsters who are disadvantaged in a social, cultural, economical and educational way. Considering the latter one, these youngsters are not motivated to attend school and they run the risk of being unemployed. The youngsters are between 15 and 18 years old. They are coming to an Arktos project, named "personal development programme". This is a school alternative programme where youngsters work on a work attitude, social and communicative skills, their personal development and competences for the labor market through non-formal education.
