With this project, we aim to integrate anatomy course curriculum in the Universities into virtual reality environment and open an elective course for students
Since the anatomy course, which is one of the basic building blocks of the health education curriculum, contains intense and complex information, it is observed that the learners have difficulties in the process of comprehending the subjects and grounding the information they have learned. In this direction, the Anatomy course curriculum will be developed over the virtual reality platform so that the students of the different Faculties such as Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Sports Sciences can make it easier to learn anatomy lessons and facilitate knowledge transfer. In this direction, anatomy course content within the scope of the curriculum will be transferred to the virtual reality environment.
Within the scope of this KA220-HED project, it is aimed to reinforce the knowledge of the students in the virtual reality environment, to concretize the abstract concepts and to provide a quality education for the anatomy lesson. Therefore, in this project, it is aimed to integrate virtual reality applications into medical education.
After the development of virtual reality anatomy course in the virtual reality environment, project partners will open an elective course in their Universities for the implementation of the curriculum.
For this KA220-HED project, we are looking for University partners and we expect from our partners to:
-Have a computer lab with 10 computers
-Have faculty/departments on health (Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Sport Sciences etc.)
-Have a more than 600 students in the Health Departments/Faculties
-Ability to open an elective course on anotomy with virtual reality
-Digitalization endeavour in higher education
