'Healthy Life - Happy Life' - Organiser (04.2024)

Address the growing problem of poor physical & mental health by educating and empowering youth to take care of health and improve their overall well-being...

Through this project we aimed to promote holistic well-being by integrating physical health, mental resilience, and emotional intelligence among young people. Recognizing the strong link between physical and mental health, this initiative addressed key challenges such as stress, unhealthy lifestyles, and lack of self-awareness. The main objectives were:

- To develop emotional intelligence and self-awareness through mindfulness, meditation, and self-reflection activities.
- To promote healthy lifestyle choices, including proper nutrition, movement, and sport science.
- To build social and emotional connections through team-building and personal development exercises.
- To enhance mental resilience using positive psychology techniques.
- To empower young people to apply well-being practices in their daily lives and communities.

The project brought together 42 participants (including 23 young people with fewer opportunities) from eight different countries: Lithuania (applicant), Georgia (host), Portugal, Latvia, Italy, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia.

Participants ranged from 18 to 29 years old, accompanied by 8 group leaders, two facilitators and one trainer. The team consisted of experienced youth educators, mental health practitioners, and holistic well-being professionals.

The project followed non-formal education methodologies. The key methods used were:

- Group discussions & storytelling – Facilitating open conversations about mental health, lifestyle habits, and emotional well-being.
- Yoga & meditation sessions – Enhancing self-awareness, focus, and relaxation techniques.
- Mindfulness & positive psychology exercises – Strengthening emotional resilience and mental balance.
- Workshops on healthy nutrition & sports science – Educating participants on maintaining physical well-being.
- Outdoor & experiential learning – Including team-building challenges, nature walks, and self-reflection activities.

These methods encouraged active participation, peer learning, and self-discovery, ensuring participants gained practical tools for long-term well-being.
