Glencraig Biodiversity Project

This project is based in an inclusive community setting to raise awareness of environmental issues and the importance of biodiversity.

The Glencraig Biodiversity project is based at the Camphill Community Glencraig (Glencraig) on the southern shore of Belfast Lough between Belfast and Bangor in Northern Ireland.
This project is funded by Erasmus+ as part of Key Action 1 Youth Mobility. The project will start in November 2018 and conclude in November 2019. There will be three volunteers taking part in the project from the following countries: Finland, Poland and Portugal. At the present moment there are two volunteers taking part in the project one from Portugal and the other from Finland. We are still looking for a volunteer from Poland.
The purpose of the project is to raise awareness of environmental issues and the importance of biodiversity. The volunteer will develop his/her knowledge of the importance of having a rich variety of plant and animal life in an area, to develop skills in creating healthy ecosystems and an awareness of the health benefits of these practices.
