Cultural education cannot be a luxury – every child has a right to it. WCCC prepare seminar about work with children and young people with less oppoturnities
Cultural education cannot be a luxury – every child has a right to it.
Social exclusion is lack or limitation of opportunities to participate, influence and to access basic public institutions and markets, which should be available to everyone. Particularly children and young people are at risk of exclusion (poverty, social class and ethnicity). It is a group, for which we provide special care in our centre. For many years we have been organizing art projects supporting children and young people with fewer opportunities.
Our many years of experience that we want to share and a motivation to further develop and explore new ways of working with excluded children, pushed us to the preparation of this project. The aim of it is to present, learn and share ways of working with children and young people with fewer opportunities.
At the seminar, "Give a hand," we invite representatives of non-governmental organizations, which work with children and young people with less opportunities, and especially use the artistic methods in their work. We invite leaders, youth workers, trainers who not only want to expand their knowledge, but also to share their experiences.
Seminar "Give a hand" will be held on 15-21 April 2013 in Wroclaw.
