Duration: 7 days + 2 travel days
Project Summary:
Youth participation in democratic life is vital for the sustainability of democracies. However, low rates of youth participation in democratic processes in Europe remain a critical issue.

Recent research highlights this problem:

According to the European Youth Forum’s 2022 report, only 46% of young people in Europe regularly participate in elections, and 60% feel unheard by politicians.
Eurostat data shows that 29% of young people aged 18-24 are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), making active democratic engagement even more challenging.

Aim:
Our project seeks to:

Raise awareness of democratic participation among young people.
Involve youth in active citizenship processes by strengthening their sense of responsibility for their communities, Europe, and the world.
Project Objectives
Support a more democratic Europe by contributing to the European Union's goals of active citizenship, democracy, and inclusion under the Erasmus+ program.
Increase young people's knowledge of democratic values, processes, and systems, helping them better understand their rights and responsibilities.
Encourage young people to take concrete steps in decision-making processes within their communities and surroundings, going beyond traditional political actions like voting.
