Exchange of knowledge about the adaptation and validation of non formal training
The Valencia City Council, through its Department of Employment, is developing different training programs in order to respond to the needs of the Valencian labour market.
The basis of these training programs is the “Labour Market Needs, Professional Profiles and Competences Guide” developed with other European countries inside the Leonardo da Vinci programme framework.
This guide enabled us to learn about the real needs of the labour market in the countries involved in the development of this guide. We also have gained knowledge of the professional profiles and competences that are the most demanded at the moment in Europe.
In addition, the guide analyzes how these countries have been adapting their National Qualification Framework to the European Qualification Framework.
The City Council of Valencia has elaborated an ambitious training program for the unemployed people of the city of Valencia. This program aims to improve the skills of these citizens in order that they fit with the labour market needs and consequently improve their employability.
The training courses have been adapted to the non-formal Spanish training system in order to validate the qualifications obtained.
This current project intends to exchange information and knowledge with other European countries on this subject, with the purpose of knowing how other entities are developing their training programs and how they are adapting them to the labour market needs. Additionally this project aims to encourage the adaptation of the participants’ training programs to their National Qualification Frameworks with the goal of improving competences, knowledge and skills through non-formal learning.
