The Partner-Finding Tool
The Erasmus Capacity Building in Youth project aims to empower organizations in the Balkan region to take strategic actions to prevent youth brain drain.
The Erasmus Capacity Building in Youth project focuses on equipping organizations in the Balkan region with the skills, resources, and innovative strategies needed to combat youth brain drain. Youth migration, driven by a lack of local opportunities and socio-economic challenges, poses a significant threat to the region's sustainable development. This project seeks to address these issues by empowering organizations to create environments where young people can thrive professionally and personally.
Key objectives include:
Strengthening Organizational Capacities: Training programs and workshops will equip organizations with modern tools and approaches for engaging and retaining youth. This includes knowledge sharing on youth employment strategies, entrepreneurship support, and creating inclusive community initiatives.
Promoting Local Opportunities: Through partnerships, the project will identify and develop economic, educational, and social opportunities that motivate young people to invest in their future within their home countries.
Cross-Border Cooperation: Building a network of organizations from the Balkan region to share best practices, co-develop innovative solutions, and establish sustainable regional partnerships to combat common challenges.
Youth Engagement: Involving young people directly in project activities through mentorship programs, leadership initiatives, and forums to gather insights and co-create solutions tailored to their needs.
Advocacy and Awareness: Raising awareness about the impact of brain drain and advocating for policies that prioritize youth inclusion, economic development, and social cohesion.
Through a combination of capacity-building activities, resource development, and advocacy, this project aims to empower organizations to create supportive ecosystems, enabling young people to see their future within their own communities and reducing the push factors that lead to youth brain drain.
