The "Engage-Connect-Empower for Life Skills - Group Counseling Practices in Youth Education" is a Youth Exchange project.
The Council of the European Union has already approved the next EU Youth Strategy for the years 2019-2027. As the plan has new specific challenges for young people who have different roles in society and face different extraordinary situations through their daily lives, we are to find new tools to engage, connect and empower them. The "Engage-Connect-Empower for Life Skills - Group Counseling Practices in Youth Education" is a Youth Exchange project under Erasmus+ and it has been prepared for the needs of young participants from ......countries. We aim to develop skills, knowledge and abilities towards competencies of young people and youth workers in developing innovative applications and digital tools for protecting the health of young people with creation of online group psychological counselling, managing the crisis, establishing continuous communication and interaction.
Our project aimed;
- to get new tools supporting the personal and social development of youth in activities which are connected to life skills,
- to share experience and examples of good and bad practices by methods of non-formal education and learning from each other for new solutions in life skils,
- to enable youth leaders to realize youth potential, with decision making and implementation processes by knowledge about life skills-group counselling,
- to develop suggestions to ensure effective participation in all areas of social life for youth .
Our project consists of an advance planning visit and a youth exchange.
Activity 1: Start Point to Life Skills (Advance planning visit); this activity will take place on 2nd month of the project. During this visit, the team leaders from the partner organisations .......................will meet each other for whole plan of training and the whole process of project.
Activity 2: ECE4LifeSkills (Youth Exchanges - Programme Countries); this activity will be 8 days and each day will have different point etting knowldge about Life Skills - Group Counseling Practices in Youth Education.
There will be 30 participants from 5 countries (.............) involved in the project as Turkey-Mersin/Mersin TİYAD will be the coordinator, ...................These partners are .....................
We want to have a colloboration with countries from different parts of EU, these different countries let us understand, compare and develop innovative tools such as Interactive Training Model (ITM) with collaboration of partners.
Each team is composed of 6 partcipants (1 team leader and 5 participants (3 female-2 male)). Each team is composed of 1 team leader and 5 young people from the cultural, geographical or socially disadvantaged backgrounds, aged 17-30, who can communicate in English, are active in their organisations, can take part in activities organised by their organisations and interested in gaining new competences and experience on international level through non-formal educational activities.
Each team has tasks to be fulfilled from the start to the end of the project.
*SWOT analysis of life skills in extraordinary situations such as lockdown at home because of Covid-19, or other important ones that detain youth from daily lives.
