EnAct. Environment Action in Real and Simulated Learning Contexts

EnAct aims to educate young participants on environment protection using digital tools: an online platform, a short simulation film and a video game.

We are looking for two types of expert partners for an Erasmus+ project, KEY ACTION 2.

Project Description: EnAct aims at educating young participants regarding the effects of their individual actions on the environment, especially in terms of waste management. The project will use interactive and user-friendly digital tools, an online platform, a short simulation film and a video game, where users will have to make decisions on energy, waste, and resources to maintain environmental balance. Call to action activities will also be organized in each partner country, in order to answer to concrete local needs in terms of waste management and environment protection.

Objectives:
- Raise awareness among participants on the impact of their individual and collective actions on the environment;
- Engage users in game-based experiences to understand complex environment issues through data-driven simulations;
- Encourage participants to take action to address environment issues.


What we are looking for:
We are searching for partners who are passionate about youth education, digital learning, environmental action and have proved competences in the field of environment education/protection OR in game development, particularly educational or serious games built in Unreal Engine environment.


PARTNER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - for experts in environment education:
- Contribute to the development and content creation for the online platform and video game working based on the expertise in ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION/PROTECTION.
- Assist in testing and providing feedback on the digital tools.
- Help in the promotion and dissemination of the project outcomes.
- Organize environment call to action activities in their own context, in accordance with local needs.
- Engage local communities and networks to maximize the impact of the project.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborative activities etc.


PARTNER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - for experts in game development, particularly educational or serious games – Unreal Engine environment.
- Contribute to the development and content creation for the online platform and video game based on the expertise in GAME DEVELOPMENT IN UNREAL ENGINE environment.
- Assist in testing and providing feedback on the digital tools.
- Help in the promotion and dissemination of the project outcomes.
- Engage local communities and networks to maximize the impact of the project.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborative activities etc.

ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS FOR THE PARTNER EXPERT IN ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION
It is essential for interested organizations to have proven experience in the field of environment education and/or environment protection. This expertise is vital for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the educational content we aim to deliver.

ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS FOR THE PARTNER
DEVELOPER FOR UNREAL ENGINE BLUEPRINTS
1. Core requirements:
- Experience with Unreal Engine;
- Experience with Blueprints visual scripting and UMG.
2. Nice to have (any of the following will provide you with an advantage):
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine's Material Editor & Shaders overall, with or without HLSL;
- Experience and/or knowledge on skinning & animation, and their pipeline for Unreal Engine 4;
- Familiarity/Experience in Unreal Engine's Cascade/Niagara VFX tools.
- Experience and/or familiarity with Sound Effects and FL Studio DAW.
