We decided to carry out youth exchange ‘Digital Citizenship Era: Being Young Citizen’ because we are interested to learn about the concept of digital citizenship and to become more ready to take an active part in our societies. We feel that it is necessary to become more digitally literate in today’s world. Moreover, as young people, we need to be ready to take part in discussions, shape decision making processes and use digital technologies in an effective way, especially in the job-seeking process. We are missing an opportunity to increase our competences in digital citizenship in schools, universities where are subjects on digital citizenship still missing. Last but not least international youth project provides a great opportunity to learn from our peers and to get other insights on covered issues.
The main aim of youth exchange ‘Digital Citizenship Era: Being Young Citizen’ is to make young people digital citizens able to face challenges of the 21st century.
Objectives of youth exchange ‘Digital Citizenship Era: Being Young Citizen’:
To open discussion on digital citizenship, the concept, the elements;
To share best practices from participating countries;
To discuss the importance of digital citizenship on the life of young people;
To provide the participants with an opportunity to increase competences linked to digital citizenship including critical thinking, media literacy;
