CO.RI.S.S. propose itself as a PARTNER to the call CERV-2025-CHILD – Priority 1: Children’s Rights in the Digital Age.
We would like be part of a Project dealing with the protection and promotion of the rights of minors, with particular attention to children with specific needs and vulnerabilities.
This topic is nowadays very relevant, because young people are increasingly exposed to digital technologies and online content. Therefore, it is essential to equip them with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely and to recognize potential dangers such as cyberbullying and scams.
It also very important the commitment from the entire educational community and society at large, in order to ensure a safe and positive online environment.
Project Objectives
The project should pursue the followung goals:
• Increase awareness of minors’ rights in the digital context.
• Provide tools and resources for conscious and safe internet navigation, understanding its risks, and protecting personal privacy.
• Promote and foster a safer and more respectful online environment for minors.
• Address the issue of cyberbullying by offering resources and support for affected minors, and by promoting a culture of respect and empathy online.
• Involve minors in creating content and policies that affect them, engaging them in discussions about their rights and making them feel like active members of the digital community.
• Promote equitable access to the internet by examining inequalities in the use of technology and the internet, and how these disparities can influence the educational and social rights of minors.
• Increase awareness of the impact of social media, specifically how its use can affect the mental health and well-being of minors.
Possible (suggested) Activities
1. Workshops and Seminars: Organize sessions in schools to educate students, teachers, and parents about minors’ rights and the consequences of cyberbullying, involving field experts and incorporating testimonies from minors themselves.
2. Creation of Informational Materials: Develop brochures, videos, and online resources that explain minors’ rights and how to recognize and report cyberbullying.
3. Awareness Campaign: Launch a social media campaign to disseminate positive and informative messages regarding online respect and minors’ rights.
4. Counseling Desks: Establish support desks in schools where minors can receive help and advice in cases of cyberbullying.
5. Creative Projects: Encourage minors to express their experiences through art, writing, or videos by organizing a contest that rewards the best submissions.
