CERV-2025-CHILD Partner Call: Empowering Georgian youth via cyber hygiene & digital wellbeing training. Seeking EU/CERV partners. Lead: ScriptKid Academy (GEO).
Project Title: Empowering Georgian Youth for Safe Digital Futures: Cyber Hygiene and Digital Well-Being
Context and Objectives:
We are a Georgia-based organization seeking partners for a project under the CERV-2025-CHILD call, specifically addressing Priority 1: Children’s Rights in the Digital Age. Our project aims to empower school students (aged 10-18) in the regions of Georgia by raising awareness about cyber hygiene and digital well-being, equipping them with the skills to navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and confidently. In an era where digital technologies are integral to daily life, children face risks such as cyberbullying, misinformation, privacy breaches, and excessive screen time, which can impact their mental health and well-being. Our initiative responds to these challenges by fostering digital literacy and promoting healthy digital habits among young people, particularly in underserved rural and regional areas of Georgia, where access to such education is limited.
Project Activities:
The project will deliver a series of interactive training workshops for school students across various regions of Georgia. These workshops will cover:
Cyber Hygiene: Teaching students practical skills to protect their online privacy, recognize phishing attempts, secure personal data, and identify harmful content (e.g., misinformation, hate speech, or grooming).
Digital Well-Being: Promoting strategies to balance screen time, manage social media pressures, prevent cyberbullying, and maintain mental health in the digital environment.
Participatory Learning: Engaging students through role-playing, group discussions, and real-life scenarios to make learning relevant and impactful.
In addition to student-focused trainings, we will organize capacity-building sessions for teachers and parents to ensure a supportive environment for students to apply their new skills. The project will also develop educational materials (e.g., guides, infographics, and videos) tailored to the Georgian context, available in both Georgian and English, to maximize accessibility and impact.
To align with the CERV-2025-CHILD call, we will involve students in co-creating parts of the training content, ensuring their voices shape the materials and reflect their needs. This participatory approach will empower them as active contributors rather than passive recipients.
Target Group:
The primary beneficiaries are school students aged 10-18 from Georgia’s regions, with a focus on those in rural and underserved communities. We aim to reach at least 1,000 students directly through workshops, with additional outreach to teachers, parents, and local communities to amplify the project’s impact.
Expected Impact:
Enhanced Digital Literacy: Students will gain practical skills to safely navigate online spaces, recognize risks, and protect themselves from digital threats.
Improved Digital Well-Being: Young people will adopt healthier digital habits, reducing the negative effects of excessive screen time and social media on their mental health.
Empowered Youth: By involving students in co-designing materials, we will boost their confidence and sense of agency in the digital world.
Community Support: Teachers and parents will be better equipped to guide students, fostering a safer and more inclusive digital environment.
Sustainable Resources: The educational materials will serve as a lasting resource for schools and communities beyond the project’s duration.
Partnership Needs:
We are looking for transnational partners (preferably from EU Member States or CERV-eligible countries) with expertise in:
Developing and delivering youth-focused digital literacy or mental health programs.
Child participation methodologies, ensuring young people’s voices are meaningfully included.
Creating engaging educational content for diverse audiences.
Experience in CERV or similar EU-funded projects, particularly those addressing children’s rights or digital safety.
Partners could contribute by sharing best practices, co-developing training modules, providing input on digital well-being strategies, or facilitating cross-cultural exchanges to enrich the project. We are open to both non-profit organizations and public entities with a commitment to children’s rights and digital education.
Why Join Us?:
This project offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of Georgian youth, addressing a critical gap in digital education in underserved regions. By partnering with us, you will contribute to a safer, more inclusive digital future for children, aligning with the EU’s priorities under the CERV-2025-CHILD call. Our organization brings strong local expertise, established networks with schools and communities in Georgia, and a passion for empowering young people. Together, we can create a scalable model that inspires similar initiatives across Europe.
Duration and Scope:
The project is planned for 18-24 months, with activities starting in late 2025 or early 2026, pending funding approval. While rooted in Georgia, the project welcomes transnational collaboration to exchange knowledge and amplify impact across borders.
