Breaking the Stereotype with Creativity

What are we proposing?

A week long Erasmus+ training course under Key Action 1, on advanced training in techniques and methods (in particular Theatre of the Oppressed advanced techniques of Rainbow of Desire, Legislative Theatre and Aesthetics of the Oppressed and Dragon Dreaming) that promote community building and effective social intervention while working with youth on issues of stereotypes/prejudices/discrimination. We are proposing this training to people with prior experience in group facilitation (TO or other relevant methods) and interested in anti-discrimination work with youth.

When and where will it take place?
----------------------------------
The project will take place in Italy (probably in Lazio or Umbria region) from 22nd to 29th of November, 2015 (6 working days + 2 travel dates). The accommodation and food are provided by the hosting organization. A part of travel costs are covered from Erasmus+ Programme funds (contact us for further info).

Who are we looking for?
------------------------
We are looking for organizations and informal groups who are interested in learning TO methods and Dragon Dreaming. Each participant organization commits itself on sending 2-3 youth workers to the training, who will later on use those methods in their own reality and multiply the results of the project to promote social inclusion.

How will it work?
-----------------
The participants will be actively involved in all phases of the project from preparation to follow-up. During the project implementation phase, participants will be asked to participate in non-formal learning sessions for about 8 hours per day. All methods used will be of non-formal character.

If you wish to be a partner and agree on sending 2-3 participants for the project, send us an email with a short answer to following 5 questions and your organization’s PIC number latest by March 30th, 2015.
