boat building

Using boat building to; i) help traumatised young people find their voice ii) learn traditional school subjects iii) to encourage water-based journeying

We have experience of using boat building to work with young people who find traditional classroom learning difficult or who are unable to express themselves verbally due to language barriers or trauma. We are also keen to support young people who have journeyed to our country as young migrants and whose journeys may have involved boats.

We are keen to identify and learn from partners who may be involved in similar work and who would also be interested in developing new curriculum for this type of work.
