Awareness on Mental Health

A KA-152 project that aims difference in perspectives on Mental Disorders and intergration of individuals that suffer from these disorders in society.

The problem that is aimed to be taken in hand in this project is the lack of visibility on mental illnesses, the issue of mental health not being taken seriously and the misperception of mental illnesses in communities.

The aim is to change the perspective in mental disorders that youth have. Our objectives are to increase knowledge on this matter in young people, to be able to teach information that they have learned to others in the long term. In many cases individuals who do not suffer from mental issues themselves can encounter individuals that do suffer from mental health issues like, depression, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder and eating disorders. In these cases it is essential that people can be supportive to each other as a community and unity.

With the actions taking place and bringing participants together, we aim to create a supportive and comfortable environment for them to go through a non-formal education and activity process to gain awareness on mental issues. Tests, discussions, workshops and seminars are some of the activities that are planned to take place before and during the exchanges.

These activities will lead us to the results that we want to accomplish in the project which are to increase awareness and perspectives in participants lives. Initiating a change in schools, work-places and institutions to integrate objectives mentioned in the project and that are in need of research and advance.
