Ambassadors of Culture 2

Background:
Art festival “Ambassadors of Cultures” was hold in 2016 in Zugdidi in frame of Turkish-Georgian EVS project. Group of Turkish EVS volunteers was hosted in Zugdidi and during 1 months was learning Georgian folk dances an teach Turkish dances to young Georgian dancers. A final activity of project was festival – concert with participation of Georgian and Turkish dancers. During concert there were shown more then 20 different musical numbers.

Aim of project:
to support of intercultural dialogue and mutual cultural understanding between Visegrad and Caucasus countries trough join cultural activities.

Main event of project: 2nd Art/folk festival “Ambassadors of Cultures 2017”.

Duration of event: 5 days (with travel)

Dates: September 2017
Venue: Zugdidi, Georgia

Profile of participants: We are welcome professionals and amateurs of folk dances and songs from target countries. Age of participants: 18+. 6 persons 5 participants and 1 leader from each country)

Target countries: Visegrad (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia) countries and Georgia.

Partners’ tasks: selection of participants inside countries (individuals or groups), preparation for event (providing of national dresses, national musical instruments, travel insurance, cooperation with travel arrangement etc.), active participation in dissemination of project results/products.
