Title: Active young Europeans

Main reason to carry out youth exchange ‘Active Young Europeans’ is to encourage young people to become
actively involved in their communities, countries and on European level. Youth exchange ‘Active Young Europeans’
is designed in line with following objectives:
-to open discussion on the concept of citizenshipat the local, national and international level;
-to reflect on the rights and responsibilities of young people as citizens of their communities, countries and Europe;
-to address the topic of youth passivity, to identify the roots and to come up with ideas activating young people;
-to learn from inspiring examples of young people who are active citizens involved in decision making in their
communities;
-to provide the participants an opportunity to develop the competencies needed to make their voice be heard and
enabling to participate in the life of their communities;
-to produce several results which will be used outside of this YE as learning materials for young people and those
working with young people and addressing the topic of citizenship: booklet, blog and series of videos;
-to increase the knowledge of the participants on Erasmus + Programme and to encourage them to be actively
involved in international mobility activities.
In overall, we believe that youth exchange ‘Active Young Europeans’ addresses important issues for all involved
organizations. It covers the topics of youth passivity, youth activism and in overall, it provides young people from
involved organizations an opportunity to develop competences needed to address issues which matters to them.
