KA-1 Youth Worker Mobility (Training) “A Mental Health Toolkit for Youth Workers”

Ananda Marga Danmark (OID: E10067076) is looking for partners to provide participants for a youth worker training entitled, “A Mental Health Toolkit for Youth Workers”. The goal of the training is to address the alarming increases in depression, anxiety and stress among youth. The idea is to provide the participants with meditation and yoga practices along with tools taken from western psychology which can help both themselves and the young people they are working with enjoy greater mental health and well-being and deal more effectively with depression, anxiety and stress. The project will also support engaging with social change initiatives in order to help deal with mental health issues arising from systemic causes. This will be the second iteration of the training. Experience acquired in the first training will be integrated. One of the new partners has experience training more than 500 volunteer trauma counsellors working with refugees from war and natural disaster. This experience can be adapted to training youth workers assisting young people with mental health struggles. If the project is approved the training will last 10 days and will take place from May 10-19, 2024. The training will be located at Ananda Gaorii Ashram, Farm and Learning Center in Denmark.
