The Partner-Finding Tool
Youth Bridges Budapest, based in Hungary, is a foundation with the central aim of supporting coping with the challenges of the 21st century. We aim to build bridges within Hungarian society and beyond by community building, fostering active social participation and dialogue, developing tolerance and respect for diversity, preventing alienation, and encouraging lifelong learning. We provide soft skills development with non-formal and informal training and learning opportunities for education and social professionals and young adults on the most pressing challenges of our time like social inequalities, environmental sustainability, and digitalisation. Besides learning and development, we also carry out research, promote educational innovation and support volunteerism.
YBB works with non-formal education and EU programmes for 4 years. We have been participated in 12 strategic partnership (KA2) projects so far as partner, project result leader and coordinator too, both in large-scale and small-scale projects. We also organise learning mobility projects not only in Hungary, but also outside of Europe (Georgia, Turkey, Caribbean). In the framework of our sending activities, we support approx. 100 young people and youth workers in participating youth exchanges and training courses. Within European Solidarity Corps, we send 10-15 international volunteers from Hungary every year and support 1-2 groups of young people in their own projects (solidarity projects or youth exchange). From 2023, YBB holds an Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of youth.
YBB has a diverse team with learning and development professionals, researchers, social and communication experts, and project managers. We have permanent trainers and collaborate with educational professionals on international level. In our activities we actively involve youth workers and young people from our extensive network. Our team consists of 5 employees, contractors on demand and several volunteers.
