YASAR UNIVERSITY EU CENTER

Yaşar University European Union Center functions to stimulate and strengthen the participation of Yaşar University in the EU Research and Education Programmes, and monitors the developments in this field. These programmes include Life Long Learning/Erasmus, YOUTH, Jean Monnet, Marie Curie, and other EU Education Programmes.

In this regard, the Center aims to develop and participate to new EU projects under different EU grants, organize seminars, trainings and certificate programmes on EU specific matters, support the mobilization of students and academics for exchange of knowledge with various EU universities and research centers. It also takes part in joint projects by participating with different European networks and consortiums and establishes new exchange and cooperation agreements. Currently, the Center runs several EU projects about short-term intensive courses, training programmes and e-learning programmes. It also offers project cycle management trainings for students, academics, public authorities and NGOs.

The EU Center already has 110 Erasmus Agreements with 23 EU countries. It has been awarded as to be included in the "Erasmus Success Story Brochure 2010" by the European Commission

Yasar University has been preparing, coordinating and participating YOUTH projects.

University was accredited as SENDING and COORDINATING ORGANIZATION in European Voluntary Service-ACTION 2 in 2007. Yasar University EU Center regularly organizes informative meetings and seminars on YOUTH programme open to the all young people from
the region. As a sending and coordinating
organization, Yasar University participated SOHO (Sending-Hosting Organization) meetings organized in
Finland, Turkey and Spain.

All students at Yasar University attend Project Management and Social Resposibility lectures so they are competent and sensitive towards issues and main themes of YOUTH programme.
