The Partner-Finding Tool
Ung i Midtdalen (UiM) is a youth priority programme owned and partly founded by the three municipalities Ringebu-, Sør-Fron and Nord-Fron kommune, which together creates the region of Midt-Gudbrandsdal in Norway. The youth priority programme is also a part of the youth policy of Innlandet county, which also co-funds the activities. UiM is a non-profit organization having one employee working full time.
Our main objective is to improve the conditions for youth in the age 13 to 19. UiM is cooperating with the local youth councils, youth workers and the two youth-activity houses in the region to achieve this. Projects and activities, such as festivals and youth events, training of youth council members and other organized groups of youth who oversee events and activities, are what we experience as the success factors to creating better conditions for being “Young in Midtdalen” (which Ung I Midtdalen translates to in English).
UiM has several years of experience working with young people. This experience varies from event planning, implementing meeting and training, festivals, cooperation between sectors to prevent alcohol and drug related problems, financing, budgeting and international projects as youth exchanges and ESC projects.
UiM has been hosting and coordinating ESC projects since 2014 and have also been coordinating several Erasmus+ youth exchanges. Accredited Quality Label valid through 2027.
We have had volunteers for several years in our region, who worked with youth in the youth-activity houses, on youth festivals and events, and as a language assistant at the schools in the area (English, French and/or German.)
Searching for a partner organization who is willing to coordinate the project and send volunteers to Norway.
