the Tunisian association against sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS

Since its inception in 1990,the Tunisian association against sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS. (ATL MST SIDA ) works to prevent STIs/ HIV/ AIDS through the dissemination of information and awareness on sexual and reproductive health of STIs/ HIV/ AIDS.

the objectives of my organisation:
- Prevention among young people on sexual and reproductive health, particularly HIV / AIDS.
- Prevention of HIV / AIDS among high-risk population: injecting drug users (IDUs), sex workers (SW), and men who have sex with men (MSM).
- Anonymous testing, free voluntary HIV / AIDS.
- Support for people living with HIV (PLHIV).
- Fight against all forms of discrimination and stigma associated with the disease.

our activities:
- Awareness sessions in school structures, academic, military and associative and others awareness actions intended for a wider audience ( beaches, festivals,cultural events....).
- Training of peer educators, including the population the most vulnerable to HIV / AIDS (men who have sex with men, sex workers, people living with HIV, injecting drug users. ...).
- Training of trainers in HIV/ Aids prevention and reproductive health.
- Psycho-social support for people living with HIV.
- Promotion of free and anonymous screening among high-risk populations.
- Actions to reduce risk among injecting drug users by distribution of injection kits.
- Medical monitoring of legal prostitution.
- Offer care for illegal prostitution.

our target group:
* general population: young adolescents out-of school ( young people in conditions of vulnerability ), students,pupils.

* high-risk population: people who inject drugs (IDU), sex workers (SW), men who have sex with men (MSM).
