ASSOCIATION “TEAM FOR EDUCATION AND CULTURE – TOK (TIM ZA OBRAZOVANJE I KULTURU – TOK)

The association “Team for education and culture – TOK” was founded in 2010. The goals of the Association are to promote new, interactive, participative, and experiential, out-door learning and creative approaches in non-formal and informal activities in the fields of education, culture and ecology, and in synergy of these areas, through programmes for all age-groups, educational profiles and levels, and various formal and non-formal groups.
Although the Association was recently founded, its founders were active in these fields since the 80s in the last century, and have diverse and vast experience in working in creative and animation processes, in the areas of ecology, education, culture, leisure activities and recreation. Activities range from local to international level through various forms of collaboration with individuals and groups advocating similar values.
The Association aims at encouraging individual in exploring their potentials, establishing understanding and spirit of collaboration with others, acceptance and mutual support and tolerance, through group activities, acquiring new experiences and creating new values.
Association contributes to the improvement of quality of life of individuals in the fields of education, culture, recreation and ecology issues. In the field of ecology, the Association aims at public advocacy for changing habits related to usage and protection of natural resources, and handling wastes.
Association’s Activities for children, young people and adults create conditions for acquiring quality knowledge and skills necessary for life and work in modern society, with strong focus on healthy life-styles. These activities may also be implemented as collaboration projects and exchange programmes on local, regional or international level, with individuals and/or groups with similar interests and profiles.
The Association “TOK” plans, organises and coordinates programmes in the areas of ecology, education and culture, and in synergy of these three areas, organises and facilitates training seminars and debates, in accordance with its goals. The Association promotes and advocates protection of natural and cultural heritage, to general public. Motivating the engagement of wider audiences and citizens in the activities, the Association organises promotions, festivals, competitions, exhibitions, actions and training seminars on local, regional and international level.
The Association carries out the activities in collaboration and with support of other associations and organisations, state and local institutions, local authorities and representatives of economy sector.
