Stowarzyszenie Odra Niemen

The Odra-Niemen Association was established in 2009 in Wrocław. We bring together people interested in history, and collecting and preserving the memories of witnesses to history, to whom we owe democracy, freedom and independence. We create ties between different generations, teaching young people patriotic and civic attitudes. We have also created many international educational projects.
We take care of people from various backgrounds: Warsaw Insurgents, Cursed Soldiers who fought the Soviet regime for years after World War II, Sybiraks, those who survived labor camps in Siberia, and from the recent history members of the Solidarity movement - heroes who for years fought against totalitarianism.
We deliver parcels to reach many compatriots living beyond the eastern border of Poland. With a large group of volunteers from all over the country, we restore memorial sites in Poland and abroad. We work with Poles all over the world. We have 6 branches in Poland and one in Lviv and gather around 300 members and numerous volunteers. We also cooperate with schools and universities.
