Social organisation "Youth organisation STAN"

STAN (art-group) is the modern art community acting in Ukraine since 1999. Art-group «STAN» contributes the accumulation of creative forces of the region to overcome the cultural crisis and realization the creative projects.Main goals of STAN are:
-Development of intercultural dialogue and mutual integration via art;
-Resistance to authoritarianism, xenophobia, racism;
-Breeding the protest culture and protection of the freedom of expressiong opinions;
-Informing the society about social and cultural events, formation of the social point of view;
-Support of modern socially-orientated art.

Over 80 projects have been realized within the framework of STAN during 10 years. Moreover, STAN has vast expeience in organizing seminars, trainings, schools, interactive events, based on the methods of 'Live libraies" and "Forum-theater"

Some of the most significant projects of STAN were:
- a campaign to the World Day of Palliative and Hospice Assistance within the support of International Renaissance Foundation (2011-2012);
- a festival of modern socially orientated art “Artdome” (2011-2012), within the support of ECF, Luhansk Regional Administration, Polish university in Kiev;
- a project “Special Electors’’ – a micro grant of European Comission in Ukraine;
- a program of international at-residences (2011-2013) within the support of ECF, the Center of Cultural Management, Luhansk Academy of Art.

One of the most significant projects over the past 2 years was the creation of the Cultural map of Luhansk with the support of ECF and Heinrich Boll Foundation;

We are trying to make our initiatives more social, available, interactive. The main target group of our activity is young people. But also we involve authorities, media, businesspeople, social activists, enlighteners and everyone who is interested in culture and understand its meaning in the life of the city.
