Siegmundsburger Haus Werraquelle GmbH

We are a small family business based in Neuhaus am Rennweg, district Siegmundsburg and Eisenach (Germany, state Thuringia). All of our decision makers are qualified and hands-on economists. The company has been working internationally since 1998. We started with developing cooperations between small and medium sized companies in Thuringia and Poland. Since 2005 we have kept ourselves busy with the development, coordination and implementation of mobility projects for work experience placements with pupils from foreign schools. The placements take place at our company and at cooperating companies in Germany. More than 6000 interns, mainly from Poland and Hungary, have visited us so far.
Short characteristic of our projects:
• We support the development and coordination of mobility projects and other projects within ERASMUS, FRSE and Deutsch Polnisches Jugendwerk (DPJW)
• The internships take at least 2 weeks.
• The work places are prior ensured in
o Hotel, gastronomy and tourism
o building trade
o logistics, commerce
o gardener, landscape planner
o automotive engineering
• Mental and organisational information will be given to the participants, parents and accompanying persons by us in the school before each internship.
• Two students (gastronomy) are always together in one hotel. They learn, work and live there. Students from other professions live with their accompanying person in our central building in Eisenach. They walk or are driven to their workplace.
• Contact persons who are certified for vocational training work in all of the companies.
• We organize trips to sights in Thuringia during the stay– as long as they are mentioned in the project and the school wants them to be implemented (only ERASMUS/FERS).
• At the time of arrival the students have to be at least 16 years old.
• We don’t realize separate trainings. We recommend the participation in National Agency Erasmus+ trainings.

We only work together with schools, where the principal in person has attended a special preparation visit in Thuringia to inform him or herself about our work.
