SCEME (Social Change through Education in the Middle East)

SCEME is a not-for-profit organisation that provides grassroots educational and empowerment programmes to women and young people from refugee and migrant communities, as well as those from impoverished backgrounds, throughout the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. We also work in the UK with young migrants and the Middle Eastern & North Africa diaspora communities.

Our core goals and objectives:

1) To protect women and girls from gender based violence (GBV) and exploitation.

2) To provide women and young people with an extensive and vibrant education, allowing them the opportunity to be independent and self-sufficient.

3) To empower women and young people through the promotion of active social and political engagement.
