PRIMUS - The Regional Development Agency (RDA) of Greater Porto Region

PRIMUS is a regional development agency (RDA) for Porto Region. Its shareholders including the Metropolitan Council, the municipalities, private companies, banks, Porto university, several associations of entrepreneurs, a trade union and NGOs.

This multiplicity of partners enables PRIMUS to develop integrated projects that may affect the whole region of Porto, as its main mission is to adequate its performance to the basic principles that lead to the implementation of a sustained development for the region, namely through:

- The promotion and development of projects with economic and social impact, aiming at developing the region;
- Promotion of partnerships to develop relevant projects;
- Studying innovative management models / solutions;
- Consultancy work and training mainly to enterprises and municipalities.
- PRIMUS received a EU grant to develop a Knowledge Research Centre (KRC) specialized in Organizational Development and Innovation & Technology (I&T). This KRC is a platform for conception of training contents and we have a public library (traditional paper and innovative digital supports)

Portuguese authorities have recognized PRIMUS as a training organization and as a benchmarking national organization.
