CNJ - National Confederation of Young Farmers and Rural Development was set up in 2000.
Its mission is to represent and defend the interests of young farmers, as well as the organisations that represent them, directly or indirectly, before national and international public and private bodies, with a view to PROMOTE, FACILITATE and VALUE.
STATUTORY OBJECTIVES
- to promote the development of the rural world and all the activities that may be associated with it;
- to stimulate the valorisation of the rural world;
To help promote the technical, business, commercial and cultural development of young farmers, technicians, association leaders, companies, public institutions and others interested in promoting the rural world;
- The defence of a sustainable agriculture; The defence of healthy eating and living, as well as the wellbeing of rural citizens and young people in particular;
- Promoting equal opportunities and gender equality in rural areas, the inclusion of young people, women, the elderly and people at risk of social exclusion; - Combat the desertification of the rural world by encouraging people to settle locally; - Promoting health protection in rural areas; - Supporting the development of a local social economy in rural areas; - Supporting the setting up and developpment of youth and intergenerational associations in rural areas;
MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITY
- Support and counselling for young farmers and rural populations: - Vocational training and non-formal education;
- Consultancy, formatting and promotion of rural exchanges and voluntary activities for young people in rural areas; - Articulating partnerships and liaisons with international organizations and networks;
