Municipality of Verbania - Public Library

The library of Verbania is the leader of the provincial library system (150,000 inhabitants).
We organize services and projects to promote cultural participation and the habit of reading.
In 2015 we have won the National Award in 2015 with the project "Born to Read" and the Andersen Prize with the “Liberamente” project for young adults.
We organize courses for free time, meetings with authors, readings and live performances and we work with schools, bookshops, publishers, associations and all those who are interested in bringing the culture of our city to life and improving the participation of citizens.

Our values are:
1. Authority. We guarantee seriousness, reliability and updating of the contents and search tools.
2. Cultural diversity. We promote knowledge and promotion of the different artistic and cultural expressions. We promote the meeting between communities.

9. Innovation. We promote innovation and experimentation of contents, spaces and services, also in relation to the changing needs of the public.
8. Liability. Projects and services set realistic and measurable objectives. The results are periodically communicated to the stakeholders.
9. Passion. We librarians appreciate the library, the city we work in and the work we do.
