Libera Università del Cinema

Libera università del cinema, a no-profit association, was born in 1983. The original goal of the association was to train the young movie directors. Then tha plans have been changed and the priority become the teaching of the passion for cinema to young people. We studied a method with our teachers, all coming from the professional word of movies and television, to make innovative classrooms about movies. We didn’t know yet we had been practicing tecniques of the non formal and informal education. In particular we teach cinema trough the learning by-doing, in our opinion the best way to teach every tecnique. Our actual goal is to share our passion with more young people around european union, because we believe that cinema is a universal language for every single woman and man. Cinema is one of the best ways to tell stories about our common values, like democracy, freedom and friendship. Afterward is a way to transmit to the young europeans the common roots trough the audiovisive storytelling, regarding social inclusion, the free debates and the unforgettable memories of this continent.
