Karmala Cultura was created in 2015 in La Palma Island (Spain) in order to offer an innovative response to the lack of cultural and social activities in the rural areas. The purpose of the association is to promote the creation, development and promotion of different cultural and artistic manifestations as a way to achieve a more inclusive and intercultural society.
We have three intervention areas:
a) Promoting Youth people.
b) Gender Equality.
c) Social projects.
We coordinate and develop social projects with a rights-based approach with a look at environmental sustainability, childhood, youth, cooperation, citizenship education and community mediation.
We work in partnership with public local entities, NGO’s, local associations, regional governments and a huge network of artists and cultural agents.
Our motivation is to create good and better opportunities through culture and artistic expression. Always with a social focus, promoting activities for specific profiles such as young people, women, immigrants, people with disabilities and the elderly. We create innovative projects adapted to the context and based on the needs of people.
Participation in Erasmus+ projects motivates us because it will allow us to broaden our experience and knowledge. We love sharing our successes with other entities and learning new methodologies together. Should we meet each other?
