IZMIR KATIP CELEBI UNIVERSITY

In current structure of IKCU, There are ten faculties (Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Fisheries, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Health Sciences ,Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Medicine ,Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Tourism and Faculty of Art and Design), two vocational schools, one preparatory school, three institutes (Social, Health and Applied Sciences). There are more than 13000 students and around 2000 foreign students from all over the World.
As a part of internationalization strategy, there are three main coordinators assigned to increase the number of international agreements with the partners from all over the World. These coordinators are dedicated to Erasmus, Mevlana & Farabi and International Students. In this context, there are three version of agreements: Erasmus, Mevlana and General Letter of Intents. In case of Erasmus+, there are more than 100 hundred partners from Europe under the KA103 Erasmus Program. In case of Mevlana, a similar number of intensity existed. Recently, there is a growing body of interest from different countries for different purposes. In meeting these needs, there is a customized agreement design for each partner which is started by a letter of Intent.
Under the framework of Erasmus and Mevlana & Farabi partnership, There are four main mobilities observed: Mobilities of students for studying and placement and mobilities of stuff for teaching and placement. IKCU has an active mobility intensity in both Erasmus and Mevlana & Farabi programs. In 2018-2019, there more than 100 participants taken a role in these mobilities. As a young state university, IKCU has established the infrastructure of international affairs with a young and energetic team. There is a steady increase in number of partners and mobilities in years.
