i-PEICC Peuple et Culture

I.PEICC is affiliated with the national union Peuple et Culture.

This NGO was created in Montpellier in 1963 on the initiative of militants of non-formal education. I.PEICC is a non-profit organization (law 1901), approved by several ministries: Youth and Sports, National Education, Agriculture, Health, Vocational training, Work and employment, Culture, Tourism.

I.PEICC works in an open way with several publics (young people and adults) in very varied fields.
I.PEICC, in its actions, wants to: promote social integration and fight against all forms of inequalities and exclusion. It privileges an active pedagogy and people are in the centre of all our concerns.
Our main fields of interventions are:
- International exchanges
- Volunteering
- Trainings of facilitators
- Non-formal education and continuing education of adults and the young people
- Social Research
- Local development (urban - rural)
- Cultural and intercultural actions
- Development of active European citizenship

I.PEICC is engaged in European projects since 1996 and has a wide experience in the management and the implementation of European projects. I.PEICC is accredited as coordinating, sending and hosting organisation in EVS projects. We also organized many youth exchanges during the previous years.

We consider that the preparation of volunteers is essential for a successful project. According to this objective, I.PEICC offers trainings for facilitators who are regularly working with the young people connected to our organization.

Our organization is located in one of the poorest area in Montpellier and our facilitators are used to work mainly with young people with fewer opportunities and especially with migrants or youngsters from second generation of migrants.

I.PEICC has a long experience in the evaluation of the projects.

I.PEICC has a strong network of partners able to disseminate the results of the projects: the city of Montpellier, the councils at departmental and regional level, the OFAJ, local organizations…
