Hasan Tahsin Vocational School

We are training lite mentally disabled children since 1986. We are tring to teach and develop children's academical and vocational skills. We have 132 students that their ages between 15 and 23. At the same time we have 31 academical personel to teach. We have 6 classrooms and 6 workshops. To improve the students vocational skills, we have ceramic, agricultural, metal, textile, handicraft and home economics workshops. Besides we have music, art, gym lessons for improve student's socialty. Our school is a formal education institution that giving special education to mildly mentally retarded individuals between the ages of 15-23.Up to now we completed 5 projects. 3 of them were Grundtvig Projects. We have enough experinces to develop project. The projects that we complete: - INDACO - MODEL -SMILE Our school is located in İzmir. Izmir is the biggest city of Agean area in Turkey. It's population is almost 3 million. İzmir is located to the seaside and very closed to some touristic centers. Such as Efes, Çeşme,Kuşadası...
