ORGANISATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Group Tourism, Environmental and Social Management (G-TESM) is an apolitical, non-profit making grassroots association which works to promote the sustainable development of tourism, environmental and social related issues with headquarters in Yaounde. GTESM was created in 2019 following Declaration N° 00001016/RDA/J06/A2/SAAJP/BAPP and later rectified following Rectification N° 00000901/RDA/J06/A2/SAAJP/BAPP in 2020. Its activities cover the entire ten regions of Cameroon and in order to achieve its objectives, G-TESM with its vibrant youths work very closely with the grassroots in collaboration with government structures at local and national levels alongside international, and national non-governmental and community-based organizations with shared visions.
Mission
G-TESM seeks to make Cameroon the most desirable and memorable tourism and leisure destination by exposing its touristic potentials in a bid to foster economic growth via sustainable tourism and hospitality development. - To transform the concept of environmental protection and sustainable tourism in to concrete actions at all levels in the tourism industry. - To promote Cameroon as a clean, environment-friendly and safe tourist destination. - To protect and improve our environment, and empower our most valuable assets, our people. - To build healthy and sustainable communities and environments.
Vision
Towards a sustainable growth in tourism development. - Towards a healthy and well protected environment that supports societal and environmental sustainability. - Towards creating a society conducive for children, women and the underprivileged communities in which they have the opportunity to live fulfilled, healthy and constructive lives.
