Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) is an international human rights organisation which aims to promote human rights, particularly minority and women’s rights in areas of the world where structural help and the global attention of the international media have proven to be absent or insufficient. This requires the formation of a well-structured international platform to inform, influence and demand efforts from established organisations and relevant authorities.
The work of Global Human Rights Defence focuses on three key areas:
o Human rights documentation and reporting.
o Aid projects that provide immediate relief to victims of human rights violations
o Human rights education and awareness raising
One of the main objectives is to create awareness among youth on human rights and to improve the mutual understanding between young people, through the promotion of dialogue and understanding between youth from different cultural backgrounds, with the final aim to empower youth to become more participative in their society.
The project aims to create tolerance by exchanging opinions, culture, and exploring the true meaning of equality in religion, culture, ethnicity, gender, etc.
