Future Icons is a non-profit association for young and innovative art and culture based in Graz, Austria. Future Icons is supporting interested creative young people in terms of development and implementation of their ideas, building bridges between generations, with a strong emphasis on young and socially disadvantaged people and on cultural diversity, supporting social integration and solidarity, promoting intercultural dialogue.
Future Icons is a laboratory of innovative means of expressions in the field of youth culture and is encouraging young people in their creativity, personal development, capacity for teamwork, democracy, critical thinking, tolerance, … those features, which are relevant for the functioning of our society.
The association Future Icons explores intensely with current and sociopolitical hot topics such as migration, social Europe, multi-ethnic and multi-religious conflicts; is discussing, looking for solutions and working in the form of workshops, role plays, performances, … with young people and is presenting project results to a large audience (concerts, exhibitions, performances, installations, video clips, …).
