EVEN KEEL

We are a brand new charity, set up by youth workers, each of whom have 30 years experience of working with marginalised young people. 'Even Keel is a term used about boats, to mean that they are on a steady course and are stable. With our charity, we hope to support young people to bring balance into their lives. We are interested in boat building, using the water as an outdoor classroom, helping young people express themselves through public art and and also the idea of journeying. That can be personal journeys or physical journeys. We aim to stabilise the lives of young people, connect them with others, inspire them to have belief and support them to transfer their own lives and those of others. We also aim to support them to tell their own stories to increase understanding amongst communities.
