Our college is located in Târgovişte, in the Southern part of Romania (only 80 km from Bucharest). It is the most representative town in Dâmboviţa county and it used to be the capital of the country three centuries ago, so it is a historical town, with some ancient monuments (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Târgovişte).
Our high school also has a history, being founded in 1925, and has a very strong tradition in education in two fields of study: Science (Mathematics and ICT) and Humanities. There are 61 highly qualified teachers and 782 students between 11 and 18 years old, all of them study English and French and most of them speak it well.
We have a medium socio-economic parent community, with over 40% of its students travelling to school by bus or train from adjacent rural areas.
We are constantly seeking to promote within our students a positive vision for their future and we help our students become balanced and successful citizens.
Most students choose a university in Romania, but recently the number of students choosing to study abroad is growing. Our high school is known as one of the best in Dâmboviţa county for its students' results in the national exams, but also in school competitions and Olympiads.
We are experienced in implementing European projects such as Comenius (both as coordinators and partners), ACES, e-Twinning, and other forms of collaboration with different NGO's.
This project will offer students and teachers inspiring practical contexts of using ICT education for personal and school development.
