BEE RURAL.HUB is an emerging cultural and environmental organisation located in the western region of Cantabria, Spain. Its main objective is to promote sustainability, youth social entrepreneurship and creativity in the rural areas of this region. Registered in the General Register of Associations of Cantabria, the association is distinguished by its active commitment to address environmental and social challenges in the rural environment.
Mission: BEE RURAL.HUB is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in key areas such as food, circular economy, beekeeping, resource management and rural tourism, with a particular focus on the rural areas of western Cantabria. Its approach goes beyond awareness-raising, encompassing tangible and educational projects aimed at the local population, especially young people living in rural communities.
BEE RURAL.HUB develops environmental education projects and workshops adapted to rural realities, promoting beekeeping for the conservation of local biodiversity. It also leads specific clean-up and reforestation activities in rural environments, contributing to the preservation of the natural beauty and biodiversity of the western region of Cantabria.
With the aim of raising community awareness and fostering social entrepreneurship in rural areas, BEE RURAL.HUB organises awareness campaigns adapted to local needs and realities. In addition, it builds physical spaces such as a geodesic dome and a permaculture-based community garden, thus strengthening the identity and collaboration between rural communities in the western region of Cantabria.
The association's aspiration is to become a reference in sustainability and social entrepreneurship, specifically in rural areas. It organises sustainable festivals and fairs that not only encourage the exchange of ideas, but also highlight the importance of collaboration and creativity in the rural context of Cantabria.
