Maracena is a town in the metropolitan area of Granada in the south of Spain, just 2 km away of the famous city of Alhambra.
Our main work of the youth department is coordinating youth initiatives and youth policies, providing training and information of interest to young people, and a major cultural and social voluntary service.
Part of our aims is promoting youth activities in culture, education, integration communal and creation of a multicultural, European environment. Our organization develops extracurricular activities to increase the individual well-being and their moral concept.
Our town already participated in a bilateral Exchange with 25 adolecents from Tortona (Italy) in October 2014. Also in 2014 fulfiled, through the program of Erasmus +, multilateral exchanges with Czech Republic (July), Rumania (May), Latvia (July) and Italy (November). Our first experience with such exchanges was in September 2013 with Poland.

The aim of this project is to broaden the knowledge of young people of the environment like forest, nature reserve and special nature reserves.
Our targets: -To approach and get to know the food culture of the two participating countries. -Break the ancient gender role about cooking skills.
-Get to know how plants in each country were used for medical and nutritional purpose. - The importance and the need of environmental protecting.
All of us must achieve happiness.The importance of happiness as a necessary emotional mood to achieve all our life goals it's very important for us.
Become enchanted by the charm of the stories and legends of the Alhambra and dive into the surrounding environment, discovering the “Source of hazel tree”
