Associazione Naqah Ets

NAQAH is a young and dynamic association based in Sicily, founded in the early months of 2023, with the main objective of promoting education, culture, and the local community, with a specific focus on the Alto Belice Corleonese area. The founders of NAQAH bring over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector. In 2005, at the age of 20, they co-founded the Provocopuscolo Association, which operated successfully until 2015. During this period, the association organized a series of events aimed at social, tourism, territorial, and cultural promotion. They were also involved in creating and distributing informative brochures, managing an informational blog, and launching an online forum to encourage active citizen participation in Marineo (Palermo). This experience was pivotal in inspiring similar organizations. After their experience with Provocopuscolo, the members of NAQAH continued their collaboration with various nonprofit organizations, always focusing on promoting the local community and maintaining a spirit of cooperation. Over the years, they developed skills in various fields, including law, agriculture, finance, and communication. These skills were put to use for various local institutions and businesses in the implementation of projects to support the community and culture. NAQAH represents the natural evolution of a growth path initiated in 2005. The experiences gained in the work and academic context led to the identification of areas of intervention consistent with the individual paths of its members. The main areas of intervention include youth information support, training programs, local promotion, and social agriculture. We are a recently established association, but behind us is a team of individuals with extensive experience in nonprofit, administrative, and organizational roles. We are ready to apply our skills to make a difference in the community. We have team members with a long history of involvement in the nonprofit sector who understand bureaucratic challenges and know how to overcome them. We are dedicated to making a difference and improving people's lives. We aim to be a strong voice for those in need of support and opportunities. We believe in empowering young people and those less fortunate and work hard to offer them a better future.

NAQAH has six main objectives:

1. Informational Support: We provide information and resources about available opportunities in the area, such as education, employment, counseling, cultural and social events. We aim to be a reliable guide to help people seize the opportunities that interest them.

2. Training Programs: We organize courses, workshops, and professional and cultural training programs to facilitate skills development and the acquisition of new knowledge. We aim to help individuals improve their job and personal prospects.

3. Innovation and Sustainability: We support and promote projects that encourage innovation, sustainability, and the valorization of local resources. We want to contribute to a more sustainable future and a resilient community.

4. Social Agriculture: We support social agriculture as a tool for social inclusion, territory redevelopment, and the promotion of health and well-being. We collaborate with local communities, farmers, and organizations to develop projects involving disadvantaged or vulnerable individuals, offering them work opportunities, training, and social integration through agricultural and gardening activities.

5. Territorial Promotion: We aim to promote the territory in which we operate, highlighting its resources, traditions, and cultural heritage. Through events, guided tours, tourist promotion, and collaborations with local authorities, we seek to make the beauty of our territory known at local, national, and international levels. We want to stimulate sustainable territorial development, attract tourists and investments, and foster economic and social growth in local communities.

6. Promotion of Human Rights and Inclusion: We are committed to promoting and safeguarding the human rights of all, without distinction of ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other characteristics. We work to raise awareness in the community on these issues and promote inclusion and respect for all.
