Association/ Youth organisation

Association, youth organisation KIRA, which includes K- Konsultācijas (Consultations), I – Izglītība (Education) , R – Radošums (Creativity) , A – Attīstība (Development) - was founded in 2009. From 2009 until now, they have implemented local, regional and international level projects related to non-formal education, counseling, environmental sustainability and digitalization, creativity and development promoting activities. The association has a lot of experience with children and organizing and implementing youth summer camps, outdoor and cultural events, and informal training. Has a lot of experience in volunteering, engaging active helpers and supporters. Since 2010, the association has been granted the status of public benefit - development of civil society.

Local scale projects:
From 2018, the association is a strategic cooperation partner in the JSPA project "Proti un dari!" (“Know and do!”), where support is provided to NEET young people.
From 2020, the association KIRA is a strategic cooperation partner of the NVA in the implementation of the ESF project “Subsidētās darbavietas bezdarbniekiem” ("Subsidized jobs for the unemployed").
03.05.2022 – 12.07.2022, the association KIRA implemented the Latvian Amateur Theater Open Air Festival "VEZUMS 2022" in Ludza, the State Cultural Capital fund (with the financial support of the state joint-stock company " Latvian state forests " within the framework of the "Support for cultural programs in the regions" project.
01.09.2022 – 30.12.2022, the association KIRA is a strategic cooperation partner withthe municipality of Ludza region in the European Social in the foundation project "Pumpurs" (“Buds”) no. 8.3.4.0/16/I/001 "Support for the reduction of early school leaving" in Ludza 2nd secondary school.
19.08.2022 to 03.18.2023, the "Four Update" project is being implemented in the association KIRA in cooperation with JSPA and Ministry of Education and Culture - youth policies state program 2022-2024 for the year "Support for initiatives for the inclusion of young people with limited opportunities in society".
01.04.2023 - 30.09. 2023 "A3" project is going to be implemented by the association KIRA in cooperation with Society Integration Fund to ensure and promote active participation, education, mutual communication and communication (with each other, within the framework of NGOs, with municipalities, institutions and communities).
05.12.2023 - 30.04.2024 AIF project “SPĒKA RIKA KIRAi” for organisation capacity building.
01.04.2024. – 15.10.2024. SIF project Sadarbības tilts, apvienojot resursus – STARts. The main aim - To promote the active civic participation of the residents of Ludza district, to build closer intercultural relations and cooperation between the residents of the district and NGOs, as well as to promote the residents' sense of belonging to the community.
22.05.2024 - 10.06.2024. "Vazums 2024" amateur theater outdoor performance festival. The aim of the project is to popularize the genre of open-air amateur theater performances and to activate the activity of local amateur theaters in Latgale in Latgale, as well as
promote the preservation and development of the cultural environment of Latgale;
discover the unlimited possibilities of theater art;
to popularize the movement of outdoor performances in Latgale.

International scale projects:
07.07.2023 - 31.03.2024 Erasmus+ Youth mobility “The Cycle of Change”. Project aims to develop and strengthen a nature-friendly way of thinking in young people on individual, regional and European level.

The association regularly holds educational events, creative workshops and consultations for children, young people and other interested parties. The association cooperates with others organizations, such as the Ludza Children and Youth center, Ludza Committee of the Latvian Red Cross, the Ludza House of Culture, the Ludza Main Library, the Ludza Local History Museum, associations" Participation has no age", "Lietussargs", "Strauts" etc. The association has more than 40 members.
