AIDI is a community and culture education and development initiative. AIDI are social enterprise minded, and proactive in approach to positioning communities and people for business and cultural opportunities leading to building social and human capital development for a better society and strong economy. We inform our communities through the supply and dissemination of information that promotes enterprise, culture, history and traditional heritages for development. Established in 2008 through the researching of cultural and enterprise relationships between Ireland communities and African immigrants living in the Ireland of Islands.
AIDI is to involve and empower African communities to utilising their skills and talents through exchange of profiles, and in creating better management of information for building strong intercultural Irish economy.
AIDI is a forum or platform to inspire African Irish to develop and plan policies that reflects the history, culture, social and economic needs of communities and groups; to act as lobby group for the African communities in relation to issues affecting them. AIDI strive towards the establishment and development of Intercultural Academy and Information Centre for the dissemination of academic, historical, music and cultural materials for development initiatives.
Black History Month is an annual event used to recognise, learn, honour & celebrate achievements & contributions of Black men, women & children with a theme.
