SAMHA ry, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association, (formerly known as MPMTO), is a non-governmental organization founded in 2009 and officially registered in 2014.

SAMHA is an association built by immigrants for immigrants. SAMHA aims to help our community to understand mental health and substance abuse, to create an understanding of how to cope with bureaucratic daily life challenges, and how to integrate successfully, but most importantly, how to get help when they need it.

We help by empowering people, especially immigrants, with the knowledge and tools to navigate the system and cope with the daily life challenges that can affect their wellbeing. We help to address stigmas, and to build confidence in individuals and groups, supporting their journey with the help of the community, and understanding to seek help when they need it.

Our mission is to prevent substance abuse and mental illness, to enhance knowledge about mental health and substance abuse, and to create community trust, and successful integration.
